As a result of a back injury, Lorraine was introduced to Pilates. With regular practice she was soon able to return to competitive sport
A life of competing in amateur sports, included Athletics, Rowing, Field Hockey, Marathons and Triathlons, gave rise to a number of sports related injuries. Lorraine found Pilates exercise not only improved strength and flexibility, but was a means of improving biomechanics
So impressed with the Pilates method for keeping the body strong and well balanced, Lorraine strove to make Pilates part of her every day life, teaching anyone who would listen, about the transformational benefits of the Pilates Method
Outside of teaching private sessions and classes, Lorraine practices Pilates regularly, enjoying the challenge and benefits of the Advanced Pilates Repertoire.
Lorraine also enjoys, swimming, cycling and walking her dog. When the opportunities arise travelling, skiing and sailing
